About Me

I was born and raised in Tabriz, Iran, a historic city renowned for its rich cultural heritage, delicious foods, sweets, and exquisite handmade rugs. As one of the most ancient cities in the Middle East, Tabriz has long been a hub of trade, art, and craftsmanship, particularly famous for its carpet weaving, a tradition that dates back centuries. The city is located in the Turkish-speaking region of Northwest Iran and is also known for its stunning natural landscapes, including the nearby Sahand Mountain and the beautiful El Goli Park.

I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics from universities in Tabriz. In 2012, I moved to the United States to pursue a Ph.D. at Auburn University. Since then, I’ve lived in various states, visited numerous cities, and been part of several academic communities across the U.S. In my free time, I enjoy nature walks and photography, cooking Iranian dishes, and spending quality time with my husband and daughter. I also have a passion for creating puzzles and crafting miniature houses.
